Here at Fabrics Galore, following the recent government announcement, we are so pleased to share the news that our fabric shop on Lavender Hill in London will be opening from April 12th. We cannot wait to welcome you back to our fun and inspirational shop which is stocked with all kinds of fabrics. So that our customers can enjoy a completely safe shopping experience, we have put certain measures in place to keep customers and staff safe and ensure we are following government guidelines.
Our fabric shop’s opening times
To allow us to restrict the number of staff we have in the store at any one time, we are running slightly shorter opening hours. From Monday to Friday, we will be open from 11am to 4pm and on a Saturday 10am till 4pm for you to browse our store. Our popular click and collect service will also continue to operate from Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 5pm.
Do you need to wear a mask?
Yes, we politely ask all customers to wear a mask in the correct fashion, to help keep themselves and others safe. If you have forgotten your mask, temporary ones will be provided.
Hands, Face, Space (and Fabrics!)
We will provide hand sanitiser for you when you enter the shop and our staff will re-apply hand sanitiser regularly. In addition, we will be wiping down the payment card between customers although like other retailers, we encourage you to use contactless if you can.
To minimise contact with the fabrics, and however tempting it is, please only touch the fabric when browsing if you really need to and note that we will not be displaying our usual remnant bins or fat quarter trays.
How many customers are allowed in the shop?
We will limiting the number of people in the shop at any one time to allow social distancing. Our staff will wear masks when serving customers in the shop.
We ask that you take no longer than 15 minutes to browse the fabrics and complete your purchases to minimise waiting time for other customers. We also remind customers who are accompanied by children that they are responsible for supervising them at all times and should follow social distancing rules. If at all possible, please could we ask you to shop alone and not to bring children with you into the shop.
Shopping at Fabrics Galore
To keep our customers safe, we have marked out the shop floor in 2 metre distances and will operate a one-way system. Please respect other shoppers and maintain an appropriate distance. Our staff will also be regularly opening the door to circulate the air in the shop and will be more than ready to help or give advice if needed.
We kindly ask for your patience and understanding in helping us to protect both you and our staff, and although the measures may be an inconvenience, we hope that you still enjoy your experience shopping at Fabrics Galore.
