We are looking for someone to join our amazing team here at our Battersea shop.
Are you self motivated, enthusiastic resilient and available to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and every other Saturday?
You will be joining us at a really exciting time for Fabrics Galore. As well as being fully involved in all aspects of working at the shop, there will be opportunities at the 14 shows we exhibit at.
We also have a rapidly growing website which is supported from the shop. A strong interest in social media will be advantage.

Title: Senior Sales Associate

Duties: 
1. Customer Service
Fabrics Galore is proud of it's outstanding reputation for customer service. This applies to all visitors to the shop but also to customers who may telephone or email. So you need to be able to answer basic questions about how various fabrics behave.
2. Merchandising and Presentation of Stock
Deliveries are received everyday and it is the responsibilty of everyone to make sure this is presented in the most attractive way. This will involve checking deliveries, processing stock and ticketing.
Merchandising is a constant excercise to ensure stock is kept tidy and space is made for new stock. 
3. Website Support
All internet orders are fulfilled from the shop every morning. This needs to be done accurately and effeciently in conjunction with the rest of the team. Routine stocktakes are required to accuratley reflect the stock available for sale online. Feedback is another vital way of keeping the website current.
4. Cash Handling and Security 
Dealing with all cash and credit cards transactions in a safe and secure fashion. Acting as a key holder to open and close the shop as required. 
5. Health and Safety
We are all responsible for the health snd safety of our colleagues. There will always be hazards working in any environment and you will receive a full briefing on any specific. 
Skills and Competencies 
1. Skills 
A full understanding of sewing skills is required, ideally in the three areas of sales we operate - dressmaking, soft furnishing and patchwork.
A flair for merchandising and visual standards.
Basic maths and technology skills 
Building rapport with customers and colleagues.
2. Competencies
Strong and confident communication skills
Prepared to show initiative 
Positive demeanour
Hours
Minimum of 28 per week on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 8 hours a day.
Alongside every other Saturday.
