The inner wadding is usually a cotton or polyester and cotton blend which provides warmth, structure and the padded look and feel of pre-quilted fabric. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe stitching secures the layers of fabric in place to create an even padded effect which looks good even after repeat washing. The stitch lines are evenly spaced often in a diamond shaped pattern or in parallel lines to create the quilted effect. The fabric is purchased already quilted, so that it is ready to sew straight off the roll.
