Who is Cath Kidston?

As a British fashion designer, Cath Kidston is a passionate businesswoman who decided to launch her very own business venture in 1992 - which evidently paid off. Her shop initially sold hand-embroidered tea towels and brightly-coloured furniture, and then went on to produce cushion covers, cotton bags and a flowery ironing board covers in the iconic floral print fabrics we know today. In 2009 Cath was even awarded an MBE in the New Year's Honours’ List for services to business. Today, the brand offers various products with its iconic floral, vintage prints and designs, including beauty products including wash bags, skincare sets and hand creams - just to name a few.

The success of the Cath Kidston prints and designs

When creating her designs, Cath Kidston has always used colourful prints and her products have been described as ‘modern vintage’ - something truly original and not replicated anywhere else. The success of these floral prints and polka-dot designs is unquestionable, representing a quintessentially British lifestyle. Even over 25 years later, the design team at Cath Kidston continues to focus their attention primarily on classic designs, with pretty and interesting fabrics which can be used to create garments, furnishing projects - and can even be used within some elements of crafting!
