The UK Sewing Events Calendar is superb for the growing number of sewing and crafting enthusiasts and now we can finally look forward to some of these great shows in 2026.
Fabrics Galore is exhibiting at lots of show this year, so please do come and say hello on our stand as we would love to see you! We always bring a selection of our best new fabrics and have lots of suggestions to inspire your next make. Here are the 2026 shows where you will find us.
2026 Sewing Calendar
January
Quilters Fair 2026 - Farnham Maltings
Sunday 11th January 2026
The Quilters' Fair is always a favourite with customers for many reasons including the crèche for children and partners with the Sunday papers which means the shoppers can really get on with the business of buying fabric. Farnham itself is also a very pretty little rural market town, with many other attractions aside from the Maltings and only 32 miles away from London. The list of other exhibitors is also quite vast considering it’s a small village in Surrey. This all makes it an ideal place for any quilter to start the year.
Ardingly Quilting & Sewing Show, 2026
Thursday 30th January - Saturday 1st February 2025, South of England Showground
Another event for January, The Ardingly Quilting & Sewing Show 2026 is a major event for quilting enthusiasts, with inspirational displays of quilts and textile art, a wide range of exhibitors selling patchwork, quilting and sewing supplies, and opportunities to explore the latest tools, fabrics and materials for your quilting projects. Held at the South of England Showground, it also provides a welcoming environment with good facilities and free parking, making it ideal for both browsing and finding creative inspiration.

Harrogate Quilting & Sewing Show 2026
Thursday 5th - Saturday 7th February, The Great Yorkshire Showground
The Harrogate Quilting & Sewing Show 2026 is a new show for Fabrics Galore at this three-day celebration for quilting and sewing fans featuring inspirational quilt displays by talented makers, a wide range of exhibitors selling fabrics, tools and materials, and skilled demonstrators sharing techniques and expert tips to spark creativity. It’s a colourful, sociable event where enthusiasts can browse supplies, get fresh ideas, and enjoy the lively craft community atmosphere.
Spring Quilting & Sewing Show 2026, Newmarket
Thursday 26th February - Saturday 28th February
This show replaced the Spring Quilt Festival in Duxford last year, when Fabrics Galore exhibited at the new venue at Newmarket Racecourse for the first time. We will bring all our usual Fat Quarters, Quilting Cottons and more, while visitors will be able to view a huge range of quilts providing plenty of inspirations for your future makes.

Sewing for Pleasure - Birmingham NEC
Thursday 12th March - Sunday 15th March 2026
Sewing for Pleasure at The NEC, Birmingham is a must-attend for Fabrics Galore. Paul will be there with boxes of fat quarters, a great selection of patchwork cottons and everything you could wish for in terms of modern dressmaking and furnishing fabrics.
Stitching 4 All & Craft 4 Crafters - Exeter Westpoint
Thursday 26th - Saturday 28th March 2026
Stitching 4 All and Craft for Crafters was a new show for Fabrics Galore last year, and we are excited to head down to Exeter again in 2026. Once again, will be packing up our best dressmaking fabrics, some quilting cottons and even some furnishing fabrics perfect for bag making and aprons.

Quilts UK - Malvern Three Counties Showground
Thursday 14th May - Sunday 17th May 2026
The Quilts UK Malvern 2026 show at the Three Counties Showground in Worcestershire is a major annual quilting event offering enthusiasts the chance to enjoy an open competitive quilt exhibition with entries from makers of all skill levels, inspiring displays by well-known quilters and textile artists, and a wide variety of exhibitors, including Fabrics Galore, selling patchwork, quilting and sewing supplies. Visitors can enjoy workshop participation and watch demonstrators share techniques and advice, all in a friendly, well-facilitated setting with free parking.
What is truly lovely about this show is its location, at the foot of the Malvern Hills with rolling hills as a backdrop and the odd sheep. And our fun facts about Malvern are that, it's been famous for bottled spring water since 1622 and was the planned location for the evacuated British Government during WW1.

Thread Festival - Farnham Maltings
Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June 2026
Thread is a friendly, creative get-together for sewing and textile lovers featuring a curated marketplace of artisan fabrics, haberdashery and handcrafted work by independent makers. The 2 day event features a varied programme of expert-led workshops and techniques to try, plus the chance to meet fellow sewists, learn from specialists and find inspiration for new projects in a sociable festival atmosphere.
We will be at Thread Festival as usual with a great selection of dressmaking cloths with everything from viscoses to pretty, lightweight cottons. If dressmaking isn't your thing, we will also as always have our best selling furnishing fabrics with us. Find us in the cellar bar.
September
Creative Craft Show/The Stitching Show, Exeter
Thursday 24th - Saturday 26th September 2026
The Creative Craft Show / The Stitching Show at Westpoint, Exeter is a popular autumn event for sewing and craft enthusiasts, with exhibitors, like Fabrics Galore offering the latest fabrics, sewing machines, tools and haberdashery. Visitors attend workshops and expert demonstrations to help them learn new techniques. It’s a chance to shop for supplies, gather inspiration, try out new ideas and connect with other makers across a wide range of crafts including sewing, quilting, dressmaking, and more.
Now, this is a show we have been coming to for many years and this year again we will pack up our fleeces, fat quarters, quilting cottons and even a few dressmaking fabrics like corduroy, jersey and bouclé. And we always look forward to seeing Stonehenge on our drive down.
October
Autumn Quilting & Sewing Show, Malvern
Friday 16th - Sunday 18th October 2026
The Autumn Quilting & Sewing Show, Malvern 2026 at the Three Counties Showground is a welcoming autumn event for quilting and sewing fans, featuring inspirational quilt displays, a wide range of exhibitors selling patchwork, quilting and sewing supplies, and hands‑on workshops plus live demonstrations to help you learn new skills and techniques. It’s a great opportunity to shop for fabric, find inspiration and meet with fellow makers in a beautifully located venue with good onsite amenities and free parking.
For Fabrics Galore, it's a welcome return to Malvern following the Spring event here in May.

The Creative Craft Show at Birmingham NEC
Thursday 5th November - Sunday 8th November 2026
The Creative Craft Show/Sewing for Pleasure Winter/ Simply Christmas at Birmingham NEC is a vibrant, multi‑event celebration for craft enthusiasts, featuring over 100 independent and international brands offering fabrics, sewing, stitching, yarn, and general crafting supplies. Visitors can join workshops, watch demonstrations and enjoy special events including the Sewing for Pleasure Winter Edition, Simply Christmas with unique handmade gifts and competitions, Cake International showcasing world‑class cake decorating, and the new Bake International with celebrity bakers—all under one roof for a creative and festive experience.
Another show Fabrics Galore has been to many times, so we know the NEC pretty well. We will be bringing our best-selling fabrics including our Christmas collection, and tapestry panels perfect for bags and cushions. In addition we will bring our fat quarters and remnants so you can see how vast our fabric collection really is.
The Knit and Stitch Show - Harrogate
Thursday 19th November - Sunday 22nd November 2026
The Knit + Stitch Show in Harrogate, (formerly known as The Knitting & Stitching Show) is one of the UK’s largest textile craft events, featuring hundreds of specialist exhibitors offering yarns, fabrics, sewing machines, haberdashery, and more. Visitors can shop for supplies, explore inspiring textile art galleries, attend live demonstrations and workshops covering knitting, crochet, dressmaking, embroidery, and other textile crafts. It’s a lively event where makers of all skill levels can learn, find inspiration, connect with fellow crafters, and discover the latest trends and techniques.
At Fabrics Galore, we love ending the year back in Yorkshire, our spiritual home, and we will take all the fabrics you know and love.
